NOooooo! Not Again!!!

I'm laying on the couch writing this because I am yet again on bed rest. I am 31 weeks today so this is way too soon to have issues, but I guess this is just my body's M.O. I REALLY thought this pregnancy was going to be different and I had great optimism that I would be able to do my normal activities right up until the end....nope. I lost my mucus plug yesterday which tells the doctor that my cervix is thinning out and my body is preparing for labor. I went in today to get a steroid shot to help Adler develop quicker (especially his little lungs). I don't have an appointment until Tuesday and have strict bed rest orders until then. I've done a little internet research and from my understanding, losing it can put you into labor right away or it could be weeks. I've also heard (from a friend of a friend) that the mucus plug can also grow back?! I'm not sure about that one, but at least it gives me some hope.
Just the other night I was telling Brad how strong Adler's kicks and punches are. He isn't quite as active as Naomi was, but I feel like he is stronger and as we all know, Naomi came out early and far more developed than the doctors and nurses expected. What can I say, we grow super hero kids, don't we?! :) I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit scared right now, but I have faith that God will keep our son safe and my gut is still optimistic and says that everything is going to be OK.
I know I've slacked on blogging lately, but now that I have more time than I know what to do with, I'll be on here more and boring you to tears ;)
I am so thankful that I have such loving family and friends. We are blessed with all the helping hands around us. Thank you ALL!!!

Our Once in a Lifetime Trip

I titled this post very literally. Let me first say, that we had a great time...Cabo was beautiful, the weather was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the people/culture was as warm as the weather. We would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend the Riu Sante Fe, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to anyone....just DO NOT go with a 1 year old!!! Talk about needing a vacation from your vacation. I have come to the conclusion that going on a trip with a young toddler is more like packing up your life in a suite case (or 5), moving it to another location that lacks the familiarity and conveniences (food, gates, baby-proofed rooms) of your own home. Naomi was in deed a trooper, but she didn't care for the food and only took one half-hour nap each day. She quickly adjusted to the time change so she went to bed each night by 8pm, but there was NO pushing it! It gave us ladies some time to rest and read and Brad & Brian got some "man-cation" time at night. We went with our good friends, Brian, Stacy & Leah Adams. We vacationed so well together!!
Here is our super spread of photos from the trip:

The first night was the hardest. Naomi was still on our time and went to bed @ 6:00 so Brad & I ate in the bathroom!

Is it time to go home yet?!?!

I think she's trying to tell us something...
"I had a great time, but I'm ready to go home and see my dogs!"
Thank you Adams' for a great trip! Let's do it again next year (perhaps minus children?!?). We are blessed to call you friends!!!!
