Weigh In on the Name

We have come up with (possibly a final) decision on a name for our little guy and we would love to hear what you think. Feel free to weigh in with your thoughts....

OH, BOY!!!!

I say this with 95% certainty (as that is what the tech told us), but Brad and I saw the turtle head on the ultrasound!
But, first let me digress to tell you how we found out so early...
I have been contracting since Tuesday, but didn't want to alarm anyone so I didn't say anything right away. Then Thursday while at work they started again so I called Dr. Holly (who was out, so I talked to the nurse) and they said that they would touch base with me on Friday and see how I was doing. I was fine in the morning when they called, but told them I would call if I got any that day. Brad took a vacation day and we got some things done and enjoyed our family day together. About 4pm they started coming back and this time they had quite a bit of pressure behind them. Dr. Holly sent me into the hospital where I was monitored for about an hour and sure enough, they were true contractions so he ordered an ultrasound, some i.v. fluids and a shot of Brethine, which I completely despise because it makes my heart race and gives me uncontrollable shakes. I tried to talk him out of it, but he said it was that or Nubain (a narcotic) which would zonk me out so I went with the lesser of the two "evils".
I'm bed rest for this weekend and will learn my fate for the next 20 weeks when I see him (hopefully Monday).
So I am carrying another little booger!! Naomi was the same way in the womb, but a sweet angel when she came into this world. Let's hope this little guy takes after her...but it would be really nice if he cooperated in utero as well...and has better sleeping habits when he's on the outside...am I asking, too much?!

A Wee Walker

Naomi has been pulling herself up and walking along the furniture since 7 months and she loves to hold hands and walk with us, but it becomes a back breaking experience after three minutes.
Naomi's Grams, along with her creative juices, came up with "walking sticks" for Naomi to use around the house to improve her balance and save our backs. We hold onto the tops and she holds onto the bottoms.
Well, it has paid off. Naomi took her first steps tonight!!! She is 10 months and 3 weeks old. My friend Beth and I were sitting on the floor trying to encourage her to walk to us and she took the bait. She got so excited and was pretty sloppy at first, but soon got the hang of it. She started out with 3 steps...4 steps...7 steps...then half way across the room. At one point she even stopped, clapped her hands and then took off again!!! I can't believe how BiG she is and as excited as I am now, I'm sure a month from now I'm going to be regretting it a tiny bit :)
Brad caught quite a bit on video, but we don't have the ability to upload it at this time. If/when we figure that out, we will post the video.

The Big Sister

Naomi has been dying to share the news with you, but we told her to wait just a little longer.
It's true...we are expecting our second child with July 21st 2010 as the due date! I have been feeling a bit better than I did with Naomi, but still nauseous at times. It's nice that I can eat other foods than just oatmeal this time around. Actually, EVERYTHING sounds good...that could be a problem ;)
I am (once again) considered "high risk" so Brad is giving my progesterone injections twice a week and because my level dropped a couple of weeks ago I am now on an oral progesterone pill daily. We heard our wee one's heart beat on Brad's B-day this past Monday. I LOVE that sound!
I thank God everyday for the blessings and trust he continues to give me. I pray that we raise His children up in a house of morals, truth, faith and love and that in the end we hear, "Well done good and faithful servant!"
Please pray for my family; especially this precious life I am carrying.

Look how happy she is to find out that she's going to get a sister or brother!

We love our "Creighton" babies!!
